Every time I come, I remember.
Metal to rust, bones to dust.
Broken hearted, he drifted silently away.
Next time I’ll ask for directions.
I kept telling myself, “Dad’s right”.
She’s becalmed. But I keep going!

The sandbar was his only hope
Three years later, we found her.
