Mother nature wins-out in the end
The pilot could not be found.
The dark ground flowed like water.
The plane’s skeleton was silent; still.
Weathered and worn, aligned in sorrow.
Earthbound. Never to fly again.
As the steel bird glistened,dawn…
“Happy Hour yet?” I asked.
In the distance, she waited, watching.
